Election 24
The General Election was on Thursday 5th July 2024, and on the Thursday before Glamis Hall and Wellingborough Eco Group asked the candidates your questions, at a hustings event at 7pm on Thursday 27th July.

The election was held in Wellingborough, Rushden and Higham Ferrers on 5th July but please note the boundaries have changed, we have lost most of the villages and gained Irthlingborough.

Following a law change last year, people who voted in person on 5th July had to remember to bring a form of photo ID with them.
Six candidates were nominated including representatives from the Conservatives, Labour, Liberal Democrats, Green Party, SDP and Reform UK. Candidates are listed in alphabetical order by SURNAME, First Name – Party – Where they are from:
Social Democratic Party, Jeremy Brittin
Conservative, David Goss
Reform UK, Ben Habib
Labour, Gen Kitchen
Green, Paul Mannion
Liberal Democrat, Christopher Townsend
Wellingborough Organisations covered the election on our Social Media outlets and Wellingborough Forum groups.
