Event dates: Saturday 13th & Sunday 14th September
Wellingborough Town Council is proud to announce Celebrate Wellingborough, a brand- new two-day event taking place on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th September, aimed at showcasing the incredible people, groups, and organisations that make our town such a vibrant and diverse place to live, work and visit.
Celebrate Wellingborough invites local sports clubs, community centres, places of worship, independent businesses, and voluntary groups to “open their doors” and show residents and visitors alike what makes their corner of the town special.
From open days and taster sessions to performances, demonstrations, and behind-the- scenes tours, the weekend will offer a unique chance to explore the many opportunities and activities across Wellingborough.
A dedicated event map will be produced to guide visitors to participating venues and highlight everything taking place over the weekend.
“This is a real opportunity for Wellingborough to come together and celebrate the people, cultures, and talents that make our town so special,” said a spokesperson from Wellingborough Town Council. “We’re encouraging as many local groups and organisations as possible to get involved and help us shine a spotlight on everything Wellingborough has to offer.”
Examine some of Northamptonshire’s most remarkable archaeological artefacts and get hands-on with history through family-friendly activities, including the exciting opportunity to wash real artefacts

Wellingborough Repair Cafe is moving! This is because we need more space for more fixers, so we can repair more of your items!
‘Many thanks to all at Glamis Hall for hosting us up to now and helping to make the Repair Café a success. We felt that we now need a bit more space, so we will be at the Victoria Centre starting from Saturday the 13th September.’ Judy Sumner – Project Leader
You can basically bring anything you can carry that will not make a mess in the venue. Whatever it is, bring it along.
Now there is no need to book, just turn up with your broken item. You can even bring more than one thing, though to be fair, we have limited each timeslot to one item, so you may have to join the queue a few times!
Plus we are part of ‘Celebrate Wellingborough‘, a new weekend long event from Wellingborough Town Council to promote local activities!
Bring you broken items to the Victoria Centre from 9am-12 midday next Saturday, 13th September. We look forward to seeing you and what you bring in… More details at:
